A form of 100% recycled paper, straw paper is produced with pulp from urban waste that has been neither de-inked nor sorted. Thus, straw paper, of all the types of recycled paper, is the one that, for our production, involves the lowest consumption of water and energy and produces the least amount of residual processing sludge. The rough surface of the paper, rich in colour impurities, makes each and every sheet quite unique. Straw paper is still produced by one of the oldest Italian paper mills, based in the Veneto region and dates back to 1595.
